Prior to K5, Michael Kives was an Agent at Creative Artists Agency for 15 years, representing a variety of talent including Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Katy Perry, Kate Hudson, as well as world luminaries Mikhail Gorbachev and Warren Buffett. Michael began his career as an interim spokesperson for President William J. Clinton in his post-Presidential Harlem office and worked in Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton's D.C. office as an Aide to Chief of Staff Huma Abedin.

Michael is an advisor to over 20 startups and fast-growing companies and serves as a Director on the Boards of Yahoo, Shutterfly, 818 Tequila and Sprinter Spirits. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa with Distinction from Stanford University.
